It was raining when I climbed Mt. Batulao last year so I promised myself I will go back to see the magical view from the top. So when my friend invited me to night trek Mt. Batulao last weekend, I had to go.
The best part of night trekking for me is having to wake up very early to watch the sunrise. As always, it is breathtaking.

It took me more than two years before I finally decided to leave the corporate world and start working from a home office. It was a tough decision as I have to give up my career and professional growth, not to mention the competitive compensation and benefit package my company offered. After years of contemplating and weighing my priorities, it turned out that spending more time with my kids top the list! Ooops! Should I mention that I was also inspired by some people who have successful home-based career and are living a more balanced life now?
I read a lot of blogs and stories detailing the advantages and disadvantages of working from home. Anyway, whichever job you choose, you’ll experience both sides. It all depends on how you are going to deal with the pros and cons of whichever option you choose.
It’s been a month now since I left my position in a multinational company. I am enjoying it! It is surprising how technology enables people to remotely support businesses and how much things you can learn every day from the people you are working with. The best part of this, I get to spend more quality time with my kids and myself of course.
My everyday commute is less stressful and less costly now and I am enjoying every part of it. Additionally, I have time to read books, cook, bake, and exercise. These are the things I rarely get to do in my previous profession. I am excited to experience the benefits that I will get from this type of career. Wish me luck!
